What do you feel burdened by this week?
What's keeping you up at night? What distracts you from connecting with friends, family, colleagues? What weight are you carrying?
Whether you're struggling with feelings of inadequacies at home or at work, the problem is always more extreme when you're carrying burdens by yourself. And yet, if you're like me, you may pride yourself on being independent. You may think it's more noble to go it alone. Perhaps you resist the idea of being a "burden" to others.
Nonsense.
We are designed to be in community. We are hard-wired to be connected with others. So if you're struggling, say something. If you're lonely, reach out. If you need a good cry, let people be a shoulder for you.
Don't carry your burdens alone.
