Appreciating the dog

Our dog "labored" all weekend fetching sticks, running, swimming, and eating every scrap of food which happened to fall his way.  He has yet to recover.

Four years into this relationship, Team Phenix is still as smitten as ever with our boy Mack, a.k.a. The Happiest Dog on the Planet.

I hope to live my life with just a smidgen of his energy and joy.

A DOG ON HIS MASTER

As young as I look, I am growing older faster than he, seven to one is the ratio they tend to say.

Whatever the number, I will pass him one day and take the lead the way I do on our walks in the woods.

And if this ever manages to cross his mind, it would be the sweetest shadow I have ever cast on snow or grass.
