Art in Public Places

Have you ever noticed how much art there is in public places?  I don't mean billboards or architecture or graffiti (though those are all "art" in their own right), but I mean art that exists for its own sake.  Art which doesn't try to sell you anything, shelter you, or is not a political message. I mostly notice sculptures, but there are other "installations" too.

I'm drawn to these pieces of art like a moth to a flame.  I find them amusing, fun, and inspiring.  I'm hoping that was what the artists were shooting for!   These are pieces of art that I pass fairly frequently and they continue to delight and enchant me.

Have you seen any of them?

Sometimes "art" is planting a heart in the middle of a vineyard.
