Do your actions match your values?

"I used to be afraid of failing at something that really mattered to me,but now I'm more afraid of succeeding at things that don't matter.” Bob Goff

Gathering. Laughing. Feasting. Watching a little football.

These are primary Thanksgiving activities, and they are awesome!  However, this season also makes me think through how well life is working, to think about whether or not my activities align with my hopes and dreams.

Am I making things that really matter the priorities in my life?

I appreciate stories of those who follow their values with real action.  Such is the case with Jason Brown, a former NFL player.

Maybe I'm late to the party, but I hadn't heard Brown's story. This player walked away from the NFL in the middle of his prime in order to farm and feed the hungry.

Who does such a thing? I LOVE this profile!

As part of our continuing series "On the Road," Steve Hartman meets Jason Brown, who quit the NFL to tackle a new field, literally.

Remarkable, don't you think?

How well do your values and actions align these days?
