Ellie's Charity: water 13th birthday campaign
I'm thrilled to have one of my favorite guest bloggers today, the amazing Ellie Phenix! I hope you enjoy her thoughtful post.

Hi guys! I'm Ellie!
So if you didn't already know this, every year for my birthday instead of presents, I raise money for a charity called charity:water. (Here are birthdays 9, 10, 11, and 12) Charity: water is an organization centered around bringing clean water to those in the world who don't have it.
The people who don't have clean water are mostly located in sub- Saharan Africa. They spend most of their day walking hours upon hours upon hours to get water.
Water that's absolutely disgusting.
Water that's full of horrible diseases like typhoid and cholera. The diseases make the people sick and make some of these people die. In fact, every 19 seconds, a mother loses a child to a water-related illness.
Diseases caused by dirty water kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
That's crazy. Every day 663 million people are living like this!
The awesome thing about the water crisis is that it is solvable. Our earth has water, we just need to access it. Clean water has lots of benefits to an economy. Women have higher self esteem, children can go to school, economy boosts.
This year, for my birthday, I want to raise $3,138 dollars. Want to find out why or how to donate? Click here and click the green DONATE button to be part of the cure.
Thank you guys so much for reading and maybe even donating!!
Love you all.
XOXO,
Ellie
