How do you want to live today?
You have a choice on how today will go. Even when it feels like circumstances are conspiring against you, you are still, and always will be, in charge of your response.
The famed writer Carl Sandberg offers particular inspiration on this point with these words:
“Come clean with a child heart Laugh as peaches in the summer wind Let rain on a house roof be a song Let the writing on your face be a smell of apple orchards on late June.”
Did you catch the subtle prescription?
Childlike honesty. Laughter. An appreciation for the world and a face that reflects beauty, potential, and joy.
Simple, yes.
Easy, not so much.
However, if you're like me, having a vision for my disposition helps.
Reread the words one more time and make it a great day!
