How to Cope When Cares Won't Leave
“Every person needs to take one day away.A day in which one consciously separates the past from the future. Jobs, family, employers, and friends can exist one day without any one of us, and if our egos permit us to confess, they could exist eternally in our absence. Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for. Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us.”
Maya Angelou
When I am inconsistent in taking my "rest" time, I become VERY consistent in having a bad attitude.
Funny how that works.
However, this week is Spring Break, the time when we put away our electronics and attempt to apply sunscreen evenly; the week we read books on paper, build sand castles like it's our job, and take a month's worth of naps.
Maybe you don't have a vacation happening right now, but at least take today to withdraw from your cares.
Over the next few days, I hope you'll enjoy a week of "favorite" posts. And thanks for sharing my blog with your friends!
