How Was Your Week?
Congratulations!!! You made it to Friday!!! The weekend's ahead and I hope you get a day or two off.
However, before you get too far away from the work week, take a few minutes and reflect on what happened in the previous 5-7 days. After all, if Socrates was even slightly "onto something " when he said, "The unexamined life is not worth living," then maybe it would be helpful to think about what's going on in your world, in your head, in your heart.
Some areas to consider...
- Who made a difference in your week through a thoughtful gesture or a kind word? Did you tell them they made an impact?
- Where were YOU able to make an impact in someone's life?
- How have you moved this week? Forward? Backward? In a circle?
- Have you invested in the people most important to you by giving them your time and undivided attention?
- Have you been kind to yourself or critical?
- Where have you expressed gratitude?
- Have you rested well or are you overextended?
- How often have you told the ones you love that you love them?
- What was the best part of your week?
Maybe these questions don't entirely apply to you - that's o.k.. The key is to think through how you spend your days because, ultimately, that's how you spend your life.
