Making a great man
"Don't wait to make your son a great man - make him a great boy."
My son Josh is 11 today.
You've seen him around these parts. He's the one with the amazing faces. The kid who is not afraid to get his hands entire body dirty. He's the one who will amaze you with card tricks (a recently acquired skill set),and will do almost anything for a laugh.Josh has eyes which communicate wisdom, joy, and a fair amount of mischief. He has a heart as big as the sky,and a sense of adventure which is equally as vast. He's a master builder,a loyal friend, and a fantastic little brother. He is amazing.Sometimes I wish I were more sentimental.
I wish I cried on the first day of school and was emotional my kids hit their big milestones, but it doesn't seem to be how I'm wired. I find I'm so excited about their adventures I easily set aside any sense of loss.
So far every "stage" has been my favorite. I'm sure year 11 will be no different.
We love you Josh and love being on your team!Happy Birthday J-bird.
