The Art of Giving Directions

How to find your way home- the new google maps. Listen carefully to her say "around someone's yard" and "past the mango tree".

If I was in charge of selecting a new voice for Waze, I'd use this lovely Jamaican girl to give everyone their directions.

Of course, few people would ever get where they'd want to go, but everyone would fall in love with this cutie the way I did.  It makes me want to go visit her at "er 'ouse ova dere."  I love the added hand gestures!

This is an example of The Curse of Knowledge, where you fully understand what you want to say, but leave out a bunch of key details the listener needs to fully understand what you are saying.  Knowing what you want to say is different from actually putting the words behind it. Words matter.  Use all of 'em today.

I don't know about you, but I have a sudden urge to eat mangoes!
