The hunt is over.

Sure, I have 20-something items left from The 100 Dish List to try, but I have a new favorite, the soup from Gio's Chicken Amalfitano (edging out the AHmazing egg rice dish at Empire State South).

Soup? You ask... How remarkable can soup be?

Pretty stinking remarkable!!!

To start, Gio uses the leftover chicken from his famous Sorrento Lemon Chicken (which I'm now dying to try!), and so the pieces are large and full of flavor. Then he adds tiny pasta (pepperini, I'm guessing), carrots, and chives.  Then, to top things off, he serves the soup with a slice of lemon (squeeze this in the soup) and toasted bread.THIS discovery is the reason I started eating my way through the list.

Seriously amazing!!!  The only regret is that I didn't grab a quart of this deliciousness to go.

Definitely eat while seated because your knees will buckle.

See for yourself.  You're welcome!
