If you're a noodle fan, you should know about Lan Zhou in Atlanta's China Town Mall.  I had never been to this area of town, but there are LOTS of fun places to explore. This "mall" is off New Peachtree Rd just East of Peachtree Rd near Chamblee-Tucker.  If you're new to Atlanta, these coordinates are nothing but confusing, but you can trust your GPS! The noodles alone are "List" worthy, and while the broth isn't up to Nam Phuong levels, it's plenty tasty! In the middle of the food court, there's a noodle stand where they make noodles the same way they've made noodles for a thousand years in China.  I stood and watched the cook roll, flip, flour, roll and flip the dough...And pull, coax, stretch... and divide the dough into pieces using only his fingers. Then the noodles go into a big pot of beef broth and simmer with all kinds of amazing flavors. The result is a soup with noodles that taste delicate and amazing. If you normally avoid carbs, this dish is worth making an exception.  As divine as the noodles (and bok choy) are, the beef was, "meh."   The red hot sauce was MY addition; you can certainly give your soup less heat!

Since my visit, I've learned the secret is to order the duck, so that's what I'll try next time!

Have you ever been to this spot?  If so, what else should I try?
