Your Face Is Giving You Away

“Why, what's the matter, That you have such a February face, So full of frost, of storm and cloudiness?”

"Are you ok?"

This has become a rather common question my kids ask me.  Apparently when I'm distracted or concentrating on something (even mundane things), I wear a scowl on my face.

This is news to me.

I've started asking people if they've noticed this habit of mine, and, unfortunately, they have.  Most friends know I generally roll through life with an upbeat disposition, so they are able to dismiss "the face," but that doesn't mean it's gone away.

Whether you're a leader of company, of your family, or just of you, pay attention to what's happening with your face.  Even when you aren't speaking, you ARE communicating.

If you don't know for sure how you're coming across, ask a kid to tell you.
